Photo practice: Aperture Priority

I haven’t submitted yet my Week 2 assignment at SBG but I was trying to practice already with our topic for week 2, which is the Aperture Priority (Depth of Field).

This has been so challenging to me since I didn’t have the time to explore before the use of Aperture even on our digital cam, which I can do using the macro setting.

Anyway, last night I was trying to take some shots for Aperture setting. Here are couple of photos…

I use here EF 50mm 1:1.4 lens. I tried it also on EF-S 18-55mm but the result here is more dramatic. Well, I still have a lot of things to learn and practice… :)

I’ll try to post the photo with other lens… (I just have to resize… haayy, the pain in resizing photos, hehe… )

Caribbean cruises

Whether it’s eastern or southern or western caribbean cruises, it’s definitely a place to go and a great vacation for the whole family.

caribbean cruises

And that scene would be a perfect relaxation. Gee, I’m always dreaming of going for a grand vacation time but I guess the more we’re planning the less it happened. So I think it’s better not to plan anymore, hehe and if it will come then good but if not, it’s ok. As like the saying… “We’ll just cross the bridge when we get there”…. LOL!

Chia Elephant

Another collectible and a beautiful house décor too would be chia pets. It is a brand of collectible animal figurines grown by applying moistened seeds of chia to the clay and grooved figurine body. And I just found this chia elephant to be a good pet to watch for as a decorative planter.

Chia Elephant

Why elephant? Well (1) it’s a symbol of good luck. (2) the color green carries the same good fortune; and (3) my son love Eli the elephant, hehe… it’s cute. I hope I could find one around here and I will definitely buy a chia pet like this.

Bears tickets

I’m not referring to Winnie the pooh bear or the bear in the big blue house, hehe… but the Bears tickets for the National Football League (NFL) team, which is the Chicago Bears… :) Interested? Well, if you are one of the fans of the Bears, there’s nothing more exciting than the thrill when you’re at the game. So for any NFL ticketing needs, check them at VividSeats.com and purchase your cheap Bears tickets through their secure website.

How Perfect is Your Life?

I just love doing quizzes like this from time to time. And this one tells how perfect my life is… ;)
… and the result:

Your Life is 74% Perfect

Your life is pretty darn perfect. You don’t have much to complain about.
Of course, your life is occasionally less than perfect. But you’re usually too happy to notice.
How Perfect is Your Life?

Interesting!

Well, nobody’s perfect… I guess it’s a matter on how you are contented and happy with your life. And as far as I’m concerned, I’m happy with what I have right now, God has been so good to me and to my family and that I’m thankful always… :)

Try it!

on hunt for shoes

Last week, I was able to stroll around Times Square alone. It’s my first time because whenever I go there I have with me the 2 boys, and that time I’m glad I can go around shops without looking after a kiddo running, hehe… Anyway, I intended to look for a rubber shoes and there’s one store I went more of sporty goods but they have almost all brands of rubber shoes. I’m a fan of Nike so I was drooling on different Nike products from rubber shoes to sports bag to different balls (we have one at home, hehe) and even check on Nike golf clubs (my son loves this!). I spotted a rubber shoes for women so nice but looks not good when I tried it on, hehe… and then check on others…. After a couple of tries, I went out without any shoes bought. Well I guess I need hubby to go with me when buying shoes because he can check if it’s really nice or not. Sometimes, it looks great when we’re the one looking at it but it’s look different from the others. :) Hopefully next weekend we can go to the mall and check some other styles of rubber shoes. I just need one in time for the winter… hehe…

Corporate Performance Management

After my college graduation, I’m lucky to be working immediately on a corporate world being hired in one of top manufacturing companies. And since it was my first time, I’m trying to adjust myself on the corporate atmosphere with some rules and process to follow. One thing I noticed as compared with the present setup was the strategy or concept the company use in making decisions. During that time though there were methods and system being develop, the approach was not systematic compared to the recent technology where they use corporate performance management software to measure and manage the performance of an organization. Having this kind of concept would mean budgeting, forecasting, reporting, personnel planning could deliver in a single solution that empowers management decision. The ease of use of the software itself plus the involvement of the support personnel would provide a greater benefit in terms of fast work implementation and low cost ownership. Now, I think this is a great idea for business owners to implement and use on their own business.

The Mouse Trap

I have this on my email last week but I just have the time to read it this morning. And it was a wonderful story to reflect. Sometimes we don’t mind other people’s concern and later we know it will affect us somehow… ;)

Read the story below…

A mouse looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his
wife
opening a package. What food might it contain? He was aghast to discover
that it was a mouse trap. Retreating to the farmyard the mouse
proclaimed
the warning: “There is a mouse trap in the house, a mouse trap in the
house!
“The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, “Excuse
me,
Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no
consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mouse trap in the
house, a mouse trap in the house!” “I am so very sorry Mr. Mouse,”
sympathized the pig, “but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.
Be
assured that you are in my prayers.” The mouse turned to the cow. She
said,
“Like wow, Mr. Mouse. A mouse trap. Like I am in grave danger.
Duh…NOT!”
