Home fixes
It’s been 2 months already since I mentioned to hubby to replace our bathroom lighting. We have only one near the bathroom sink and the main light was already broken but then I don’t know with the husband and until now it’s not replace yet, ugh! I remember his reason, “we don’t need 2 lights inside the bathroom”, well it can be but I guess we need to replace the old one now. It feels like no light at all inside the bathroom and the little boy was simply complaining, hehehe…. What about doing it by myself, hmmm…. ?
Fun challenges at Cinnamon Designs
When I had my free time to surf yesterday, I made my way to Cinnamon designs. They had their store opened last March 18 but never had the chance to visit so it was only yesterday when I checked their site. They have fun challenges there and I especially like the “In the Know” challenge. In fact I submitted my answers already and I hope I’ll be chosen, hehe…also there were freebies, which I was able to download incorporated on a challenge. I like their prizes so I might be doing some layouts on it. I don’t know how long I will stay for their challenge, hehe… well, that would actually depend on my mojo and if I have that free time doing things I want…
Photo Opps
I was thinking when will I have some photo opps like this… nice shot, huh!.
Photo from Hilton Head rentals site.

It’s been a while since I practiced taking good shots using our DSLR. I remember when I joined the DSLR newbies last October 2007, I visited parks to get a nice shot for the challenge and to practice more. But then I got busy and wasn’t able to finish all the sessions. Now I borrowed photography books from the library and read some tips. Next week, when the little boy resumes classes I’m planning to go to the park at least twice a week and have some photo opps and practice photography. Goodluck to me, hehe…
Today
I spent few hours organizing my hybrid stuff. I’m planning to do an album soon that’s why I’m checking if I have all the materials I needed. I was surprised then, I’m already occupying a space in our computer table, wow! I guess I need to have a small drawer or table for all my stuff. But I’m afraid the little boy might get his hands on it so I’m not sure how to keep it away from him. Well, for now I just leave it as it is. Anyway, whenever I do craft things, I make sure he’s doing some activity too… Aside from my hybrid supplies, I also organize other documents that have been messing up our table… I haven’t been able to keep some files lately so that’s what I’m up to. I thought all the mails from the bank are statements but then some are invites to invest and others some sort of insurance quotes or what they called term life insurance quotes. Though we don’t plan to get at this time, I just keep all the mails for reference.
Ok, lots of organizing and cleaning at my side here. I’m doing this slowly since I have a little kiddo to look after and some chores to do at home. Hopefully I could do a layout soon… Bye for now.

10 Signs You May Be Scrapping Too Much…
Read on my dear scrappers, I’m sure you’re guilty on one of these signs. Me, oh yeah!
Not an exception and you know after reading these 10 signs, I was thinking if there’s a scrapping rehab like those for drug rehab, then maybe I was there sentenced for life, HAHAHAHA! Anyway, snagged this from JWD Team blog… read on…
1. You buy and dress yourself and your children in similar colored clothing so that you already have your basic color pallette when you go to scrap the photos later.
2. You can look at the color of a shirt or dress in real life and immediately match it up to a specific piece of digital paper in your stash that is the exact same color.
3. While snapping photos, you’re thinking to yourself, “Oh my god, these will look PERFECT with the Vinnie paper pack from Jen’s Laundry Line!!” (And you’re damn excited about it.)
4. You stay up until midnight the night before a designer’s new release is due out because there’s that little part of you that hopes that maybe the designer set up the store so that the new release is automatically there at midnight EST on that date.
5. You go out in search of very specific photo opportunities, and take pictures of things you normally wouldn’t, just so you can use a particular element, paper or journaling card that you just love that’s in your stash, but that you haven’t had the right photos for yet. (Chicken wire anyone?)
6. You start skipping social events and ditching important functions and obligations because you don’t want to miss out on a designer’s chat or challenge that night.
7. You study (closely) the shadows of random people and objects in real life, wherever you go, just so you can perfectly recreate those shadows in Photoshop when you’re back at your computer. (Am I the only one that does this? I really do need to get over this obsession with drop shadows. It’s getting a little weird.)
8. You start using scrapping terms in place of the correct words in real life situations without thinking about it…
“Hey hon, can you crop the kids’ chicken up for them while I get them their drinks?”
“Hey, can you do me a favor and clone those documents so I can drop them in the mail tomorrow?”
9. When talking about the people in your life, more of them have online user names (and you don’t know their real names) than have actual, real live birth names given to them by their parents.
“Oh hon, Skraprbabe said the funniest thing today!”
“You should see the cool new camera that momto4kids got! It’s to DIE for!”
10. You look in the mirror in the morning and notice a large zit on your face. For a few fuzzy moments, the line between real life and the scrapping world blurs, and in a still half-asleep stupor, you casually reach for your handy dandy Spot Healing Brush to zap that sucker away before you leave for work.
Miss Mint’s new FREE download
Just got my newsletter few minutes ago and Miss Mint has new download for March…

So that’s one advantage if you’re a newsletter subscriber, you’ll have the first peek on what’s latest from the designer, hehe…
Color inspired
I saw this colorful photo from the espresso machines site and somehow give me an idea of a new layout.

I’ve been itching to scrap lately but because I was too busy preparing for Migs’ birthday, I can’t focus in doing at least one. I still have new kits and wanted to put them in good use before a new one comes in; otherwise, it will be all put to waste again, hehe… Anyway, the above photo reminds me of Migs’ pictures doing artwork at home and he just mixed up all the colors,
For me it’s a memorable photos and good for scrapping… Let me see if I can whip a new one tonight. Hopefully I have all the creative mojo…
Domain transfer
Just in case you visit Mother’s Horizon, I’m currently updating the site. The transfer has been completed to my new host but I never thought it would happen during my daytime so I’m not ready with all my files. I was out almost the whole day and when I get back, my site was not found, ugh! So I’m working on it right now while I’m cooking, LOL! Talk about multi-tasking again….
hopefully everything goes smoothly…
ETA: The transfer has been completed and the site is working fine now. I just wonder why my header on this blog disappeared, hmp! I don’t even touch anything here, HAHAHA… scary!
