September almost over

Yay, it’s the last day of the month and tomorrow starts the last quarter of the year 2008… time flies so fast! And at the end of this year marks our 3rd year stay here in Hong Kong. :) Awww, this reminds me to renew my passport. :D It will expire soon…

Anyway, early this morning I tried to recall things we’ve done or activities during this month. Aside from the school opening, I’m focus on my online tasks, practice my new programming language and optimize my blogs. Not a big achievement though but somehow my site traffic increases, so that’s quite good I guess….. Scrapping wise, nothing! :( But I promise myself to be good this coming October. I was jam packed with online stuff last month plus a new adjustment with my son’s school schedule so this time I set a day or 2 for my scrapping passion. My projects still on the list and hopefully I can do them. Crossing my fingers here, hehe….

Ok that’s it. By the way sorry for lack of updates for a week. Real life happens. You know that, ;)

Hopefully to blog more later… Ciao!

Happy Weekend to all! :)

On Diet

When I came home from our vacation few weeks ago, the first thing the husband noticed was my body weight. He said “ang taba mo!” (you’re fat!) … ugh! Well, I can’t argue more because it’s true; I gained so much pounds during our summer break. I didn’t do anything at home, my mommy wouldn’t allow me to do things but rest and relax, LOL! (That’s why I always wanted to stay in my parents’ house, hehehe….) No exercise and no food cut down at all during that time…

Now I need to be on diet again. My doctor said before it’s not good for me to be overweight due to my scoliosis, so I need to be on the right fit. For one, I have to rearrange my eating habits and be aware of what I’m eating. I read in a magazine, low-fat foods are not always a good thing. Like for instance, some low-fat cookies are very high in sugar. There are foods that fulfill nutritional needs and foods that solely please the mouth, but they are not bad. Simply put up, I need to learn ways to plan and organize my diet… I know this is not an overnight miracle but I’m hoping my weight will go down after couple of months. Otherwise, I might consider taking diet pills, LOL! Good luck to me! :)

The best of the web

Stuck at home with no time to hit the shops for some much needed retail therapy? Hmm, shouldn’t be a big problem. That’s the best of having an online connection as most things you can order and buy at the comfort of your home… As I learned that most of the shops have online store, shopping has never been hard to me especially for clothing’s and other geek stuff that we needed. Not only those, but also grocery items. Yes, we can do our grocery online, and have it delivered at our doorsteps. That’s one of the best thing that made me comfortable living here in Hong Kong. If we don’t have food, we can order and even paid in credit card. So great! Now Halloween coming next month, I’m now checking cute costume for my son. Weekly deals over best buy would be one of the sites I’m going to visit for much greater discount. They have clearance items and indeed a best buy for all…
