Saturday 9: Crazy Sam’s Last Meme of 2008
1. What was the best thing that happened to you personally in 2008?
~ Being proud mommy as my son got his school award on his first year in school.

~ losing my uncle, whom I’m close (mom’s side) and I was not able to go home
3. What was the best thing to happen to all of us in 2009?
~ beautiful blessings, new beginnings

~ economic tsunami, hehe
5. What was the best gift you receive during the ’08 holidays?
~ I got my camera bag. It’s not on my wish list though but I’m happy with it.

~ the toys of my little boy which he’s wishing for.

~ yes, some decisions I’ve made.

but I promise myself I’ll concentrate on it next year.

Makeup kits and jewelry talk
I admit I’m not into putting makeup and collecting jewelries. Ok, I have few but I’m not the type of buying these things more often especially on jewelries.
Let me talk about makeup first… Last week of November, I jumped into buying some minerals makeup as recommended by my online friends. I put make-up sometimes but usually it’s just a powder then lip-gloss. So this time, I ordered the sample kit of Everyday Minerals. I got 3 types of foundations, 1 blush and 1 concealer. It looks really great especially the texture. I love it. It’s my first time using this kind of products and I guess I’ll stick to it for now. I just got the wrong shades for myself so I’m going to order another sample kit until I can get the correct shades and then I’ll order the regular size. I need to buy the makeup brushes too and I’ll check that later on…. As for jewelries, I have my necklace and ring only. The ring is actually my wedding ring. My engagement ring was lost a few years ago, bad me I didn’t take care of it, hehe…. That’s why I’m drooling into these beautiful engagement rings but I don’t think the husband will get me another one, hahaha! I told him he can give me another ring or maybe a new necklace for our anniversary next year, 
…. Meanwhile, I’ll settle on some Etsy beauties. I stumbled nice necklaces especially a locket necklace, which I love to have. I might get one for myself soon…

Cleanup before 2009
Hello friends! How’s Christmas everyone? Today’s the last Monday for 2008, wow! 3 days more to go it’s New Year. And there are a lot of things to clean up at home before 2009 comes. It’s not a tradition but I just wanted our house clean and tidy as another year comes. So today I started sorting some clothes from the cabinet, getting out those old ones and old shoes of my little boy. We’ll be getting the box later on to put all the old stuff. Tomorrow hubby and I will do general cleaning giving more attention to the 2 rooms and then last would be the kitchen. I guess the kitchen needs more time, as I have to clean up the exhaust fan as well. I asked the husband for a change of faucets too because the sealant that we put on there might break up soon. So it’s much better to have a new one. I’m browsing on Moen faucets a while ago and showed it to dear hubby. Not sure if we can find the same item. We’ll see…
Hopefully our cleanup will just be until tomorrow so that on Wednesday we can prepare something as we welcome 2009. We don’t have other plans yet except watching the fireworks display… how about you, you’re doing cleanup as well, hehe…

My new Pleated Wristlet Pouch

It arrived 2 weeks ago (Dec 5) that’s Friday. I was too busy that day doing the personalized chocolate and don’t have time to check our mailbox downstairs. I was able to get it only at night when I went out. I knew it was my gift already after seeing the name of the seller. (It’s on my etsy favorites already that’s why). When I opened it I quickly checked who’s my mommy. There’s a small card on it and has the name. I can’t figure it out … so I thought it must be the real name of the seller and my mommy didn’t reveal it yet. So I didn’t bother to check it and my attention was on the pouch, LOL!
After few days, I’m still wondering who could be my twitter mommy since no revelation has been done yet. I tried to browse the mails we had for this exchange gift and found the one with all the postal address of those who joined. I scanned it and voila!…. I found the name, hahaha! It was Kitty all along. Honestly I didn’t know that it was her real name though there could be a hint on it I was expecting the name Kitty only, hahahaha!!! Silly me!
Anyway, thank you very much Kitty! I’ve been using it already and it’s almost match to my TJ Joey bag. I mean the pattern so I’m using the pouch together with my cam bag and that’s where I put my little stuff. It’s a great use! Thanks once again.
Shopping talk
Shopping has been one of my favorite all the time. Even if I’m not really buying anything, window shopping is still great for me. That’s why I always have a foot ache, hahaha…. And for this holiday season, shopping has been the main part, isn’t? Ok, why I’m talking about shopping here? Well, last last weekend was our shopping day. No we didn’t buy any big ones like Sony Vaio or any related geeks but instead mainly clothings for us. Since we don’t bother to buy any gifts for our family (we sent money as our Christmas gifts) we only shop for our own stuff here and few gifts for some friends. Ok so my boys got their new clothes and we have our clothes to wear on Christmas as well. I guess we’re done shopping for the little boy except his big gift on Christmas day. By the way we will wear in red color this year, hehe… for the New Year, 3 of us will have the Mr Men and Little Miss shirts, LOL! So cute! I haven’t taken photos yet so I’ll try to share once I have them. The only things left for shopping are the shoes…
It’s almost Christmas
3 days more to go and it’s Christmas! And Santa’s gift not ready yet for the big day…
Well the little boy got 9 little gifts already from Santa as he’s counting the 12 days of Christmas. The 10th gift is today but ssshhhhh…… he’s not awake yet but it’s on the socks, oppssie NO it’s under the tree this time since it’s a bit bigger, hehehe. Santa decided to make it little bit bigger this time since it will be the last 3 gifts and for the big day it will be the biggest, hahaha!
Ok, Christmas on Thursday but I’m not done with all the shopping and grocery. Since the husband took an office leave starting today (he’ll be back to work January already), he can look after the little boy at home while me finish shopping for gifts. I need to buy as well my gift for the husband. I’m sure it will take me awhile since I don’t have any idea yet… let me see…. hmmm, geeks?? Nope. MP3 players??? Na-ah…. Shoes? Maybe… clothings… probably… hahaha… well it’s so hard but let me see what I can check at the mall later…
Soooo, that’s it at this time… However I have more things to blog, yep my gift from my twitter mommy and some other blabs…. Just go back in a while, okies….
