Shopping for Him

As we move on to another season, the husband was telling me he would like to buy new clothes and shoes. I immediately said yes! :)
Because you know this man rarely agrees to shop and buy new stuff for him self, haha… except if it involves gadgets. I even suggested buying boots as I’ve seen there are some stores having their mid-season sale and since winter is over, boots are at discounted price.
There was only one item he’s asking from me as a gift… a new wallet. Hahaha… well I told him, Father’s day is coming soon but make sure you have something for mothers day, which is almost a week from now, hahahaha….

on make-up

Last week I got my new make-up brush, haha. Yes I bought it for one good reason that I don’t have a decent brush to use whenever I want to put make-up. Last year I bought the kabuki brush (my first and only nice brush so far) but later on I realized I need other brush to use on eyes and blushes. …. I didn’t bother much anyway since buying this vanity stuff is something that I rarely do since I put on make-up once in a while only or if there’s an occasion to attend. So when a friend of mine offered a good deal for one set, I reserved one for myself. And it’s indeed perfect for me because each brush has a label and I don’t need to guess.

Then last week I was able to use it and really nice. Now I’m interested to learn more on putting make up especially on eye shadows. I’ve heard about cosmetology school in Minnesota and if only I have the time, I might get a short course on make-up. I wonder now why I haven’t that enthusiasm before with this vanity thingy, haha.

trying out for online poker

As I am searching for some cool iPhone games I came across a thread forum wherein someone was asking for an iPhone poker game. Different links were given, and I’m kind of curious how this online game is being played. Well I’ve heard about WSOP online but since I’m not personally playing poker, I considered myself a beginner. And because curious on how to play this game, I made my own research. :)

For those new on this game, I guess this little information I gathered might give you an idea… Ok the first thing that I’ve learned is that online poker is not a video poker, which is the game that we see in casinos like a slot machine. I’ve tried playing slot machine before and it’s fun. So it’s not the online poker, huh! :) It’s not also something that you play by yourself, but you play with at least two real people and all of you connected to a game server via the Internet. And unlike online casino where the player and the casino are natural enemies, with online poker the house (that is the poker site) is a neutral third party who makes money by collecting a small fraction of each pot before awarding to the winner. Ok that makes sense… ;)

Then the following components are needed to make it work: a (1) poker website, where you can get all information about the site and also the place from which you download the poker client; (2) poker client is the program to install on the pc; (3) game server, the central computer that hosts the game; and (4) the players, the people who are playing with each other.

You can play online poker for play money or real money. For play money, you are just playing for “play chips” or “free chips”. When you play for real money, you are betting real dollars. Sounds risky so it’s important that the site is trustworthy for this.

Looks interesting! Well that’s only a little information but there’s a lot more that need to learn about this game. Maybe I could try the one in iPhone first. :)

A Mother’s Love

The thought of Mother’s day came up so instead of reading reviews on prototype 37c reviews, which I need to work on I checked Sweet Shoppe Design (one of my fave digital scrapbooking stores) to check some Mother’s day kit. Am I going to create a layout? Hmmm, not exactly but I have some crafty idea that I’m planning to make and give to my mommy and maybe to some of my mommy friends…

And here’s what I checked from SSD, one of the new products last weekend:

A Mother’s love.

I simply love the color combination. This kit from Kristin Cronin-Barrow and Susan Bartolini. Oh! I remember to be one of Susan’s CT before… :(

Anyway, I will check other store for more mothers day kit and look what best fit with the one I’m planning to create.. :) Will tell you more of about it later on.

Need time management

My scrapping passion is still there and yes I still wanted to create layouts. My long time photo book project is still on the list, but I’m clueless now where to start… :( But I think the first thing that I have to establish is time. That’s exactly the main reason why I cannot scrap now. I spent mostly with my online work lately, which is getting better (It doesn’t matter how many reviews of hcg diet or similar subjects I made as long as I have a decent extra income from it). And that’s where I’m focusing at the moment.
Though I know some people can manage to still do their scrapping passion with their real life work, I just don’t know how to do it with my busy schedule. Hence the reason I need to learn the concept of time management. Take note that I don’t have any house help so this time management can be real challenge for me…
I just hope I could figure it out without giving up any of my hobbies and interests… ;)

Ways to treat acne

This is not the first time I received tips and different ways to treat acne. Though different articles and acne treatment reviews piling up on my inbox, I’ve learned from all these information plus I have an idea for effective options on how to control acne. As one article says, there’s no cure for acne, but it can be controlled in most cases. Let me cite few of the ways to treat acne, which I’ve read from the article I received.

First. Use topical Benzoyl Peroxide. It’s an expensive, over-the-counter products to can use to treat milder forms of acne.

Second. Topical Salicylic Acide, which is another over-the-counter preparation that be use to treat mild acne. Salicylic acid is found as an ingredient in many acne treatment creams and gels.

Third. Retinoids. This work by preventing the obstruction of pores that can lead to pimples and blackheads.

Those are just 3 options that can be use to treat acne. However, it is still important to work with your doctor to find the right product or treatment to suit the severity of your skin condition.

stuff for goody bag

I just thought the promotional pencils above I found while surfing is a great idea to include on a goody bag for kids. I remember I include a pencil as part of my son’s giveaway during his birthday last month. And since school will be ending soon plus it’s their graduation from kindergarten, I am planning to give a little token for Migs’ classmates who have been his friends for 3 years. The kids also are close to me and their mommies have been my friends as well. So giving them a little memory from us is I think a pleasant idea to do. I will search more if I can find other stuff to include.
