I Love the Feel of Real Paper
Don’t get me wrong; I love digital scrap-booking. But sometimes, in a world filled with e-books, the electric cigarette, and social networking, I love the feel of real paper. I think it’s the texture of the paper, the embellishments, and the layers that I love. Not only can I see them, I can touch them.

Choosing Textured Papers
It is fun to go to the scrap-booking store and shop for paper. I find myself gravitating to a certain color family and then, instead of looking at the patterns, I touch each piece. There are so many different choices. Alligator skin, vellum, suede, and rice paper are all papers I have used recently to add depth to my compositions.
Fixing Photos
Scrap-booking with paper means using prints and I sometimes worry about the quality of that print. Photo processors now offer a wide array of photo editing options that allow me to eliminate red eye, brighten color, and even do some touch-ups. I can now get a beautiful image from a processed print.
Adding Embellishments
My favorite part of scrap-booking is adding the little touches that make my scrapbook pages pop. I think embellishments do this the best. Adding ribbons, buttons, bottle tops, and a whole array of other little touches makes me feel like I am creating a unique work of art. Embossing is another embellishment I enjoy using. Look beyond standard embellishing stencils and use found objects to create the same effect. In the fall, use leaves, flat twigs, and dried grasses. In the spring and summer, use flower petals, seedlings, and even shells. I wish there was a way to emboss a winter snowflake! You can use the side of a pastel or crayon, or just burnish with a teaspoon. Be sure to put a piece of tissue paper between the element and the back of your paper.
A Lighter Version of Everyone’s Favorite: Pizza
You can order, pick up, or have one of the most popular foods delivered from restaurants across the country. You can buy it frozen and throw it in your oven. You can find it in Italy, it’s popular by the slice in New York, and the deep-dish variety is popular in Chicago.
But what if you’d like to take your own spin on pizza? For a healthier version of this favorite, try making yours at home. Choose wheat crust pizza for an extra-healthy version and be sure to add plenty of veggies. Go easy on the cheese and bake to perfection. The best part? There really are no rules.
One of my favorite recipes is light but still flavorful. You can switch out the regular tomato for the sun-dried variety, if you’d like. You may want to replace the feta with skim mozzarella. Either way, I hope you will enjoy this delicious pizza recipe!
Pesto Pizza with Tomatoes and Feta
You’ll need the following things:
1 pound pizza dough or 1 pre-made crust
1/2 cup jarred pesto
4 tomatoes, sliced
1/2 cup crumbled feta
Freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup basil leaves, chopped
Take your crust and bake if needed. If your crust is pre-cooked, add a thin layer of pesto. Top crust with tomatoes, feta, basil, and pepper. Bake, let cool, and enjoy!
There are also plenty of other vegetables you can add to your homemade pizza. Try onion, mushroom, green pepper, red pepper, garlic, or olives. Feel free to experiment. The more veggies, the better it’s for you. If you prefer a red sauce, use pre-jarred marinara.
No matter how you decide to make your pizza, you’re sure to find a new way to enjoy one of America’s favorite meals.
Stay out of Debt Consolidation, but get Into Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking is a hobby that is sweeping the nation. Many people scrapbook online now, but there are still many who prefer to do it the traditional way, as well. For example, having an actual book, choosing the papers for the page, putting in the pictures, and all of the great little accessories that people who scrapbook love.
Scrapbooking online is a great way to spend some time, get your memories in one coherent place, and not have to worry about things like flooding, moving, and more. It is also a lot less expensive than traditional scrapbooking can be. Finding free layouts and options for scrapbooking on the computer is fairly easy. Even if you find a program you love, and it costs money, it is generally going to cost less than with scrapbooking in a book.
If you prefer the feel of the paper under your hands, rather than a keyboard and mouse, there are many great ways to put your scrapbook together. You will generally be able to find a great craft store near you that has supplies, but even if this proves difficult, many department stores have a section for scrapbooking. This is how popular the hobby is in our culture today.
When buying scrapbook supplies, make sure that you don’t spend so much you have to consider debt consolidation! These supplies can end up being expensive, even though it may not look like it on the surface. Make sure that you start small. You can always buy more, but if you go over budget you may regret it. Get what you need for the project you are currently working on, then go from there. If you are just starting, you may want to simply plan for a few pages. Get a few cute background papers, some embellishments, and a few other accessories. Just be careful; scrapbooking can be extremely addictive!
Digital Scrapbooking Can be As Complete As a Sprint Coverage Map
Digital scrapbooking is an enjoyable pastime that can seem overwhelming and daunting to those who are just beginning. Gone are the days of cluttered work spaces or making long trips to the nearest scrapbook supply store. Even with little or no artistic talent you can make beautiful projects that are as complete and animated as a Sprint coverage map.
The transition from traditional to digital scrapbooking is made easier by the fact that by now most of us use digital cameras to take pictures. So you already have the pictures in digital format, which makes cropping, resizing and adjusting the pictures a simple process. You can easily select what pictures you want to use without having to flip through dusty albums and out of focus shots.
One of the greatest benefits of digital scrapbooking is that you can try your layouts and designs over and over again without having to worry about messing up the originals. Just hit the re-do button and start again!
All you need to get started is your camera and some online scrapbooking tools, many of which are available for free. In addition to that, if you join a scrapbooking newsletter or forum you can stay on top of the latest products, as well as share your ideas and designs. These friendly people are a real community and readily welcome newcomers.
Your masterpieces can be printed out on your printer, or you can send the electronic files to a printer to have an entire book put together. If you don’t want to print the pictures there are a variety of online galleries where you can post your pages for public or private viewing. No matter what you do with your pages, creating them is fun, easy and a great way to preserve good times. Is there a better gift than memories?
Moving Companies Give You More Time for Hobbies
Hobbies can be great stress relievers. After a long day at work you can come home, sit down, and do something that makes you happy. You might have a hobby you can do with other people, or one that you enjoy on your own, but as long as it makes you happy it’s fine. Scrapbooking is a popular hobby today, as is stamp collecting. A lot of people are moving toward quieter, more solitary hobbies because they feel like they need a break from the hectic lives they are living. When they have a peaceful hobby, they really get a chance to relax and unwind, letting go of their worries for a while.
For some people, hobbies have to be put aside for a while because of other obligations. One of those is moving. If you have to relocate for your job or for other, more personal, reasons, you may spend so much time packing that you don’t get much hobby time. Rather than put yourself through that, check into moving companies that can do the packing and moving for you. Then you can relax and enjoy your hobby time, because you won’t be spending all of it frantically putting things in boxes. It’s much easier and safer to let the professionals do it.
When you get ready to actually leave, you might feel better doing the packing of your hobby materials personally. There’s nothing wrong with that, and it won’t take a long time or a lot of work for most people to do it. If it makes you feel better, there’s certainly nothing wrong with packing things up on your own so you know anything you’re using for your hobby will be in a specific box, packed a certain way, and easily protected from harm no matter how long the trip.
Stay At Home Moms Take a Shopping Trip, But Don’t Spend So Much You Need Debt Consolidation

Being a stay at home mom is one of the most rewarding, but difficult jobs there is. While many people work a full-time job, or have at least some sort of schedule with some time off, stay at home moms don’t. It’s a full-time job that takes all of your energy. Even when you are sleeping, one of the kids may wake up with sick or scared from a nightmare.
One of the best ways to keep sane as a stay at home mom is to give yourself some ‘you’ time. Whether it is taking a little extra time in the morning to get ready for the day, or reading a book in your downtime, just having a few minutes here and there is essential for any stay at home mom. You can take some time to go to lunch or shopping with friends, just make sure to not go over your budget–you don’t want to put yourself in a position where you have to consider debt consolidation!
Exercising is a good way to keep sane as well. Whether you go to the gym a few times a week, take the kids for a walk to the park, or anything in between, exercise has been shown not only to keep your body healthy, but also your brain.
Do something you enjoy. Whether your hobby is photography, crafts, writing or anything else, make time for it. Even if you have to wait until the kids are asleep, doing something creative that you enjoy doing is something that will go far in helping you keep everything together.
Hire a babysitter every once in a while, and head out on the town with your significant other. Make sure that when planning your days, you plan for time together as well. This is extremely important for any relationship to work and to keep both partners happy.
Need Hobby Money? Check Out Prepaid Credit Cards
If you have a hobby – like scrapbooking – you probably know it costs money. Even the most inexpensive of hobbies are still rarely free all of the time. In an economy where people are losing their jobs and their homes, hobbies can help keep them sane and give them something they can enjoy – but how are they supposed to afford them? Having money isn’t a right, and a lot of people who’re struggling right now are finding that their credit has been damaged so badly that they can no longer finance their hobby. If you’re in that same boat, consider prepaid credit cards.
That way you’ll still be able to enjoy your hobby in moderation, and you’ll also be rebuilding your credit score. Especially if you have one of the more expensive hobbies out there, credit is often necessary to enjoy it. Simple things like scrapbooking may seem inexpensive, but they can actually cost quite a lot. Whether you choose to do them digitally or the traditional way, they still take time, money, and effort. Don’t assume that you have to punish yourself by avoiding your hobby just because money is tight. That hobby might be the one bright spot in your day.
It’s something you can come home to after a long day trying to find a job. It’s also something that can help you relax and forget about your troubles for a little while. You can even scrapbook about your struggles, so that you’ll be able to look back later and see how far you’ve come from those dark ways of a floundering economy. By keeping a reminder, and by sharing your pain with others, you can help yourself heal. You may also be able to help other people see that they, too, can expect a light at the end of the tunnel.
Clever Storage Spaces for a Child’s Room
It’s easy to decorate New Jersey luxury apartments in style. While there are many options to choose from, you can design your apartment just the way you like it so that you look forward to coming home every day. Do-it-yourself projects are all the rage right now, as more and more people are saving money in order to afford New Jersey luxury apartments.
To decorate a child’s room, choose bright paint colors and designs to match your child’s personality. Storage space can become quite important when you have children. It seems that with all their toys and gadgets, there is never enough room for everything to fit. Well now you can find storage space in the most unexpected areas.
After you’re done painting your child’s room, wash out those paint cans and use them as bins to store things in. You can store items such as gloves, scarves or even crayons in these paint cans. Why put anything to waste when you can utilize everything for your benefit?
If you have any unused or old jars, such as cookie jars, use them to store items like cotton balls, q-tips or even as a bank for your children to learn the value of saving money. Shoe boxes work well to store your child’s drawings or paintings. Try using a portable shower caddy to store books and magazines in. These also work to neatly carry items from room to room when your child wants to read or play.
If you have any old toothbrush holders, turn those into pencil holders in your child’s room. Set up a little area for them to draw or work on, and you have instant hours of entertainment while you get other chores done.
It’s easy to take everyday items and turn them into extra storage space. You just have to know where to look.
Making Your Dream Business Come True
I know what you are thinking: Your dream business still lies ahead of you and you are not getting any younger. When are you going to take the leap and start that business that you have been dreaming of for years?
Good thoughts.
If you think that now is the time, then the next step is to prove to yourself that it can and will be profitable.
So, what exactly is involved in that step?
In the present financial times, it is wise to look at all possibilities about the financing of a new business. One alternative may be to consider your home as a business investment. Right now, as mortgage rates are at an all time low and holding, it could be a good move for you to consider refinancing your home, in order to give a jump-start to your new business.
If you are in the Los Angeles area and are looking seriously at a mortgage refinance California can certainly support a good business venture. Properties are a bit higher than most of the country and your refinance can cost you accordingly, but the upside is that there are still people who have disposable income at their fingertips. If this business dream is feasible and your loan-to-value is good, then a refinance may be what you are looking for.
The absolute must is to look at all options and real costs. Find people in the mortgage refinance arena who are reputable and who care about you and your future. Know for a certainty that a refinance is reasonable and something that you can afford. Know every nuance about your new loan, including taxes.
Remember, refinancing to build your business must make financial sense and should only be done if it will build the dream you have been waiting for all of your life.
If it fits, then run, don’t walk.
Commercial Property Management: Three Ways to Market Commercial Property
Whether the economy is good or bad, keeping and finding tenants for commercial properties can be a challenge. When you approach commercial property management in an innovative way, you’re sure to keep existing tenants happy and in place while attracting new tenants for the vacant commercial spaces you have available.
Free Rent
Reward your long-term lease tenants with one to three months of free rent. You can use this marketing tactic for renewals or you can promote it as a way to attract new tenants. If a tenants signs a lease for two to five years, you have a guaranteed income that more than covers the two or three months of rent you’re giving away.
Use Tenant Testimonials
Let your commercial properties speak for themselves through the mouths of your existing tenants. Have tenants record video testimonials or write testimonials about their experience using your services. Use these testimonials in your marketing campaigns such as email marketing, signs, print advertisements and more. One of the most powerful tools in selling new customers is showing prospective tenants how other business owners and operators are happy in one of your commercial spaces.
Virtual Tours
Create a virtual tour of the commercial property or space you are promoting. Set the tour to music or use a voice-over script to describe what the watchers of the tour are seeing. This type of marketing helps you to reach the audio and visual learners in the group. Virtual tours can also free up a lot of your time and money as a commercial property manager because potential tenants can view the property and listen to its benefits and features without having to schedule an in-person tour. The virtual tour can narrow down inquiries to “hot leads” because only those interested in viewing the property in-person will contact you after previewing the virtual tour.
