teacher gift idea
After checking quote on honda portable generators, I continue with my search for a nice Teacher gift this Christmas. Luckily I found a nice idea from Skip to my Lou blog and the one that interest me is the sugar scrub.
Love this.. such a great suggestion and I’m sure will be a big hit for the teachers. To learn how to do this, click here and you can find also more teacher gift ideas. However, I’m still scouting for other options if ever I cannot find all the items needed… hopefully can get it done this weekend so my son can give it next week during their Christmas party at school.
arts and creative toys
With the recent black Friday sale, I’m sure a lot of people were able to get a good deal on electronics and I learned the hot pick was television such as samsung lcd televisions. And now the Christmas is almost here, I guess the hottest items are toys… With my little boy I’m not sure yet what are his wishes for Christmas. I heard him saying a lot of names of toys but I don’t know exactly what’s #1 on his list. He didn’t write his Santa letter yet. But if you ask me I’d rather give him arts or creative toys. Some of my pick are the following:
Last week I bought few creative tools like rubber and rolling stamp, paints and other stamping tools… the above photos would be a great addition. Hopefully will finish all shopping by next week.

The Internet is really the best place where you can find ideas/things for whatever purpose you may have, LOL! From cheap life insurance to bazaar information to gift ideas to various sale, everything is all there with just a simple click. Just do a search and voila you have the thing you needed…

So if you want your holiday gift to have a personal touch, then this is perfect.

When it comes to our health, drinking water should be part of our daily routine. Also make sure the water that we drink is clean and free from bacteria. You may use water filteration like whole house water filter in this case to prevent from any sickness… Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don’t have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired. One reason that sometimes I could feel so tired though I didn’t do any hard things in a day. How much water do we need, you may ask? Generally, doctors recommend 8 to 9 cups. Here are the most common ways of calculating the amount:
Replacement approach. The average urine output for adults is about 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) a day. You lose close to an additional liter (about 4 cups) of water a day through breathing, sweating and bowel movements. Food usually accounts for 20 percent of your total fluid intake, so if you consume 2 liters of water or other beverages a day (a little more than 8 cups) along with your normal diet, you will typically replace your lost fluids.
Eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. Another approach to water intake is the “8 x 8 rule” — drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day (about 1.9 liters). The rule could also be stated, “Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day,” as all fluids count toward the daily total. Although the approach really isn’t supported by scientific evidence, many people use this easy-to-remember rule as a guideline for how much water and other fluids to drink.
Dietary recommendations. The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.
Even apart from the above approaches, if you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and produce 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) or more of colorless or slightly yellow urine a day, your fluid intake is probably adequate.
2011 calendar
Well, I’m still hoping I can make one soon.
Usually during early week of November, I started doing our calendar for the following year to have enough time for the shipment. But this year I wasn’t able to make even one calendar. I should have use the free shipping from Artscow but expired already. 
But I’m still looking forward I can come up even one. So instead of looking for the best night cream, I checked digi-store with a nice calendar. I found very interesting layout from Shabby Miss Jen:
She has calendar topper, two-page calendar, wall, pocket and CD calendars. A lot of options to use. Check all her 2011 calendars here.
I’ll try my best and hopefully I can finish even one.
radar detector for her
Since last week I was thinking what would be an appropriate holiday gift for my sister. One option I have is any stuff for her car. But looks like she has almost everything except for a radar detector… Yeah, I guess that’s the perfect one. I came up thinking with this item when she told me the story where she’s almost caught up by the police officer. I cannot remember exactly what’s her violation so I just thought maybe if she has the gadget, she would be aware of any state troopers in the area, haha.
What’s a radar detector, you may ask? A radar detector will alert you when it senses certain frequencies of signals. I read in an article before that the perfect situation to trust a radar detector is when you are driving in traffic, with other cars in front of and behind you. Fortunately, this is a very common scenario and is almost always the case when you are driving on an interstate or a highway during daylight hours. In this situation, a police officer who is looking for speeders would set off your radar detector when his radar gun captured the speed of a driver in front of or behind you. This would usually give you plenty of time to slow down.
So if you have a friend who is fast driver, I think this gadget is a perfect gift this coming Christmas, hehe.
Templates for free
After reading the colon cleansing review, I just thought of browsing Yin’s templates and her layouts. Still no scrapping mojo for me but I’m hoping next year I could start doing layouts again. So saving templates would be the best thing I can do for now while I can still grab them. Actually I have used some of the templates I have downloaded before. And kept for printing later on. Hopefully I can come up with a photobook soon.

Its’ been a while
So busy last week that I don’t have time to sit and update my blog. I’m actually trying but no thoughts coming out, haha. But today I have to spend time and work hard. I focus first on my email, as some mails need my reply. Spam folder on the other hand is overloaded haha… subject like male enhancement and other unrelated emails flooded that folder. Hopefully I could finish all my tasks today. I want to have some “me” time tomorrow like facial and foot spa, hehe… ok. Ciao for now and need to move….
